The MADE Painting and Sculpture Recognition Program returns this 2023! Here’s what you need to know:

Eligibility of the Entrant:
  1. Open to all Filipino citizens who are 18 to 35 years old (18 years old as of March 31, 2023 and still 35 years old as of September 21, 2023). 
  2. Only artists who have not held a solo exhibition until September 21, 2023 are eligible to join the MADE Painting Recognition Program.
  3. Former MADE Awardees, the Chairperson and Members of the current Board of Judges, their immediate family members, employees of Metrobank, its affiliates involved in the Competition, and the Metrobank Foundation are not eligible to participate in the Competition. 
Eligibility of the Entry:
  1. A participant shall submit only one (1) entry to the Competition and shall compete in only one (1) category: 
    > Oil-based / Acrylic Medium on Canvas
    > Water Media (watercolor, gouache, tempera, water-based acrylic) on Paper (not board).
  2. Entry must not be smaller than 18 X 24 inches (1.5 X 2 feet) or not bigger than 36 X 48 inches (3 X 4 feet), excluding the frame. Entry should not weigh more than 17 kilos, including the frame (if applicable).
  3. Entries for Oil-based/Acrylic Medium on Canvas should either be framed or should have wood backing. Hanging provisions are required. The frame (if any), including the matting should not exceed five (5) inches.  Do not glue the canvas on the wood backing for conservation purposes.
  4. Entries for Watermedia on Paper should be framed with glass to avoid damage on the artwork. Hanging provisions are required. The frame, including the matting, should not exceed five (5) inches.
  5. The entry must be an original artwork, wholly conceptualized and executed by the entrant.
  6. The entry must be in good condition and must be able to withstand crating, shipping, and exhibition.

Eligibility of the Entrant:
  1. Open to all Filipino citizens who are 18 to 50 years old (18 years old as of March 31, 2023 and still 50 years old as of September 21, 2023).
  2. Artists who have and have not held solo exhibitions are both eligible to join the MADE Sculpture Recognition Program. 
  3. Former MADE Awardees, the Chairperson and Members of the current Board of Judges, their immediate family members, employees of Metrobank, its affiliates involved in the Competition, and the Metrobank Foundation are not eligible to participate in the Competition.
Eligibility of the Entry:
  1. A participant shall submit only one (1) entry to the search. Entry should be a minimum of 1ft x 1ft x 1ft and a maximum of 2ft x 2ft x 2ft in width, height, and length. Base is not included in the above-mentioned measurements. Height of the base must not exceed 3 inches.  Weight of the entry (including the base) should not exceed 40 kilos.
  2. The entry must be an original work, wholly conceptualized and executed by the entrant.
  3. One or a combination of the following materials are allowed: resin, fiberglass, glass, metal, wood, stone (concrete), fired clay (e.g. terracotta or stoneware), or any other material except organic and ephemeral. Found objects, assemblages, 3D-printed sculptures, and kinetic sculptures are not allowed.
  4. The entry must be in good condition and must be able to withstand crating, shipping, and exhibition.

  1. Deadline of submission of entries is on March 31, 2023.
  2. Entry to the competition is free of charge. MADE does not collect registration fees.
